I am overwhelmed with grief today, and yet, I feel so much joy.
Why? Because round this time, 2,000+ years ago, my Savior died on a cross for my sins. There He hung, for you, for me, for the neighbor, coworker, and friend who don't yet believe. For all sinners, He died that we may live.
It is very hard for me to grasp this concept. Why would He who knew no sin, take on my mistakes and flaws? Why would he care enough to be with us in our hardships? Because He loves us! Oh, how He loves us.
So, before you rush off to celebrate Easter, take a minute. Really let it sink in. Walk the road to the cross. Let it wash over you...HE. DIED. FOR. US... It is what makes this life worth living!

Sleep. Glorious Sleep!
Just thought I would let y'all know that G. technically "slept through the night" last night. 6 1/2 hours of uninterrupted sleep! Now I know that this probably won't be the norm every night, but we will certainly take it when we can get it. He woke with the most adorable smile on his face when I went to get him out of the crib. That leads me to believe that he enjoyed the sleep just as much as we did.
In other news, G. is 10 lbs 3.5 oz! He is slowing growing out of newborn sizes, depending on the brand. His smiles are sometimes accompanied with a giggle and he is stealing more and more of my heart! Who would have thought that was possible!?
It is 42 and sunny here in the great white (melting) north. We are looking forward to a trip to Grandma & Grandpa's this weekend to celebrate Easter! It will be G.'s first road trip. Eek! Prayers for a safe & non-screaming trip would be appreciated.
Now to pack for a weekend away from home. Hmmm...how much can I cram in a suitcase for the little bugger?!

Baby Model
This Saturday was Mr. Gavin's first photo shoot! His aunt Cambria was the photographer, and I must say we had a BLAST getting these shots. I know I am a little biased, but this was her first EVER shoot with a baby, and I must say...she is amazing! It probably helps that she works with babies, toddlers, and school-age kiddos each day, but man does she has a knack for it.
Here are a few of my favorites!
See what I mean?!?! If you are interested in having my lovely sister do your photos, contact me at akdupay@gmail.com.

Lazy Sunday Afternoons.
There is something about the way a Sunday can take you back to a simpler time. A time where you can relax and enjoy life. For us, this is God's day. Family day. A day when the week slows down, when work is far from our minds, and snuggling on the couch is close to our hearts.
This Sunday is no different.
Yesterday, we took a trip to the mall to stretch our legs, and work off some of our winter-enduced cabin fever. Note to Spring: you can show your pretty little face any time now! On our way to the mall, we both realized that we spend more time with our co-workers than we do with eachother. Our weeks are consumed with getting to work on time (a challenge with small fry), then coming home in a rush to make supper, and spend the evening cleaning up the mess of bottles & dirty clothes. Only to start all over again the next day. It is exhausting.
Not today though. Today we rest.
This is why I cherish my Sundays.
